We are delighted and very excited to announce that Pug Rescue of Santa Barbara
will now be partnering with Pug Rescue of San Diego. We have had a collaboration
with Pug Rescue of San Diego now for two years trying to save as many pugs
in need as possible and we have had much success.
Pug Rescue of Santa Barbara is fortunate to be located in an area with
surrounding communities that are very dog friendly. Therefore and fortunately
we do not have as many owner surrenders as Pug Rescue of San Diego does.
We have also noticed in the past two years that Pug Rescue of San Diego has
taken on many of the owner surrenders and shelter pugs in the Los Angeles
and surrounding areas, putting a tremendous burden on their financial and
foster resources.
Due to the above reasons we have decided to assist in any way we can by featuring
their pugs on our web site thereby giving these pugs a greater adoptive
demographic opportunity as well as offering the residents of Santa Barbara
and its surrounding communities the opportunity to adopt a pug in need through
our partner rescue in San Diego. In addition we will offer transport to the
residents in our area that cannot go to San Diego to get their rescue pug.
We are also looking for volunteers in our area to help us with fostering,
adoption events as well as fund raising. In these tough economic times the
pugs need your help more than ever, we have to turn pugs away due to lack
of funds for medical treatment and lack of fosters. By joining forces we
hope to be able to help all the little pugs in need we possibly can.
If you are in the Santa Barbara, Ventura, Camarillo, Oxnard, Ojai, Thousand
Oaks, Newbury Park, West Lake Village, Agoura, Calabasas or Malibu area and
wish to foster a pug please complete our online application form and we will
contact you to start the process immediately.
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, fostering or adopting a pug
in need, please contact Analisa at
analisa.luedtke@yahoo.com.
Thank you so much for visiting our web site and considering opening your
heart and your home to a pug in need.
