Gracie

You would never know from this photograph of Gracie with her new mom (Pug Rescue of Santa Barbara president Connie Phillips), what a horrible childhood this pug really had. Now living in the lap of Santa Barbara Riviera luxury, Gracie has all but forgotten the days when she was chained to a tree 24-hours a day, 7 days a week. Many times her motorcycle riding, drug-dealing owners would forget to feed her, and she came into rescue almost skeletal. Her strong little pug spirit and high pug IQ served her well and she persisted until she was saved by PRSB's San Diego volunteer, Sharon Rademaker, who oversaw her immediate medical care and brought her back to "full-speed ahead." Now Gracie has a "sister" to play with, a "castle" to rule, and a new mom and dad who love her dearly. What a true rags to riches story for this most-deserving little charmer!
