George's Story (Now "Rocky")

A local family called us about a 6 year old male Pug who they had adopted years before from us. They were heartbroken as he was the family dog, but had no choice but to return him to us. It seems the family had to relocate out of state and their new housing didn't allow animals.
We checked our applications and found Beverly and Karl, retired and living in San Luis Obispo as the "perfect couple". They wanted not only a companion for themselves but also for their Schnauzer who loved playing with the Pugs whenever there was a "Pugs in the Park" event. The only hangup was that they were in the process of moving and didn't want George disturbed. So Vice Presidents Jay and Brian fostered him about three weeks and the happy reunion on Jay and Brian's patio is captured in the photo.
